Rainway emulates an Xbox 360 controller on the host computer and therefore shows the corresponding icons.
Any Bluetooth gamepad that pairs with your Android device will work with Rainway. A modern Android phone or tablet will support all of the most popular models of gamepad, such as the Xbox One S or PS4 controllers.
You can use a controller plugged into a PC, or connected through Bluetooth on mobile or PC. Rainway will automatically detect it and allow you to use it in game.
Just add a mouse, a keyboard, and a controller. Now you’re good to go!
MFi controllers are supported on all versions of iOS that Rainway supports (iOS 8 and up). Bluetooth controllers, Xbox One S (and later) and PS4, are only supported from iOS 13 and later.
Rainway emulates an Xbox 360 controller when using a controller on the client or virtual gamepad. If the game you’re streaming doesn’t have support for Xbox 360 (xinput) controllers, the client’s controller won’t work. An alternative for using a controller on any game is to use a program called JoyToKey. It emulates your controller as keyboard inputs, so you can use a controller on every game you own.
