Today we’re open sourcing Spitfire, our WebRTC library that enables real-time communication with web browser.
What is Spitfire?
Spitfire is a wrapper around WebRTC native code that allows .NET applications to take advantage of data channels. The goal of this is to allow people to build awesome P2P applications and to make it easier to use WebRTC in a server-like fashion.
At Rainway we’ve set out not only create cutting edge software, but too enable others do it as well. That is why when we create solutions to problems we face, we evaluate if other developers are having those problems too and decide if releasing our solution could help.
Where can I find it?
Spitfire has been released over on Github here and we’re excited to see what kind of applications people come up with.
